The LPCS is grateful for the generosity of the following foundations and corporations, who have made recent contributions to support our programs:

  • Charter One Foundation - $2,500 to support the On Track Program
  • Chicago Community Trust - $15,000 to support the Volunteer Program
  • Cubs Care, a fund of the McCormick Tribune Foundation - $10,000 to support general operating expenses
  • Exelon - $1,000 in honor of LPCS volunteer and ComEd employee, Jeff Burdick
  • First Industrial Realty Trust - $5,000 to support general operating expenses
  • Niamogue Foundation - $1,000 to support general operating expenses
  • Polk Bros. Foundation - $15,000 to support the On Track Program
  • Presbytery of Chicago Hunger Committee - $3,000 to support the Interim Housing Program

Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce's Spring Technology Drive
raises over $1,500 for the Lincoln Park Community Shelter

The LPCS would like to thank the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce's Community Outreach Task Force for hosting its 2nd Technology Drive, with proceeds benefitting LPCS's Community Support Program.

From May 21- July 31, the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce and its members participated in the Drive by accepting donations of cell phones and printer cartridges, which will be recycled by Cartridge World. Collection of these items raised $1,033, and Cartridge World Lincoln Park donated an additional $500 to the LPCS.

We would like to thank the following individuals, businesses and Chamber members for their help in planning the Drive, as well as hosting collection sites for donations:
