My Jacket
By: James

My jacket. It has been with me for a long time. It is my security blanket. My pillow, my cover, my alter ego. I found it at the worst, darkest hour of my life. The one thing no one can take away from me. It's been my home and my friend.

I love this jacket. I found it at the train station. It was very cold that night. It was on a bench, dirty and lonely, like me. Just waiting for me. I picked it up and tried it on. It fit like a glove that fits a hand. It was like all my problems went away for that moment. See, I lost everything that day but found something that night. Something to hold onto. Something unexpected. I hope my life finds something good unexpectedly like that jacket. That's why I love my jacket.
